I have to admit, my first passion was to become an Airline pilot!
However, our Family Business was Insurance! It seemed like I knew more about the Insurance business when I was 18 than anything else I had learned in school. A product of having a Father in this industry and working from home for many years.
Over these nearly 40 years, I have tried to learn as much about the Insurance industry as one’s brain can consume. I have always looked at the service we provide as important as the premium.
Married 37 years, three great kids and one grandchild so far. When not working, I enjoy flying model aircraft and spending time on the road in our RV.
Our philosophy and one of our core principles has been to help you understand what you are buying first and then to find out the cost/premium, rather than just sell a premium.

Kim McDaniel
Hello, my name is Kim McDaniel. I am a customer service representative here at The McDaniel Group. I started in this agency with Jim Sr in 1979. I was his first employee, and knew absolutely nothing about insurance. In 1980, I married Jim Sr’s son. Jim then came into the agency shortly after that. I left in 1983 to start our family. We now have 3 adult kids, 1 grandson, with another grandchild on the way. I returned to the agency in 2003 full time. When I am not here, I love to ride my Quarter horses. I enjoy ranch sorting and trail riding. I also have a passion for Jack Russel dogs. I rescued my Petey and he is my side- kick. I truly love my job and love talking with all our clients, giving them the personal one on one help with all their insurance needs.
Amanda Palese
Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a Customer Service Representative here at The McDaniel Group. While working at the office fulltime, I also work as a full time student. In 2014, I graduated from Salisbury University with my Bachelor Degree in Public Health. Two short years later, I decided to follow my dreams and I enrolled back in school to become a Registered Nurse, working towards my BSN. Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, family, and friends, as well as my furbaby Ellie! When I first came to the office in 2015, I can honestly say I did not know much about insurance, but I was willing and eager to learn. Over the past 1.5 years, I have learned a lot and I hope to continue expanding my knowledge and experience within the insurance industry. I truly feel as though I have become part of the McDaniel family and I hope to have to opportunity to share this sense of family with each one of our clients, as well!
